running too fast

Maybe I first need to learn how to walk before running. I'm feeling that I'm struggling with the construction of Slab & Ernie. I will train that first, before going further with layout.

^this is my latest attempt. I find it hard to fit the character right into the background. Maybe drawing toys is a good way for me to improve, like Kali is doing. But I only have photo's, but even only with photo's it's a good exercise right?

Oyeah btw merry christmas everyone ;)

    that's why you have to make some more room in the background

    move the ladder to the left to give Ernie space to sit on the bed with Slab
    see mine

    make the poses clear with neg shapes too

    and perspective on Ernie's knees

    use all the lessons that came before this one

    Why not try a less elaborate scene. A medium shot of the characters talking, with not so many poses.

    This is a particularly challenging scene with lots of problems to solve.
