First I analyzed the drawing in words:

-Little beak
-Little body
-Little arms and legs
-Leaning foward
Then I tried to exagerate the things that I noticed.

they have been evened out and are less cartoony
and the eyes are too thin-hard to read
why don't you try caricaturing it, while maintaining the construction
don't forget to always use words to analyze what you are looking at first

Looks good, Paul. I would check the eyes, though. Look at the original and how they wrap around the head. They have a slight angle from the beak to the sides of the head. You drew the eyes up n' down plastered on the front plane of the face.
