BooBoo 1
This was the toughest one to draw and in the end I did not get it quite right. His eyes are so organic and asymmetrical it made it a real challenge to try to replicate. His tie shows that he has form, its resting on his chest you can tell that because right half is tilting a bit upwards.

Boo Boo 2
At first glance you don't really notice the subtle overlapping. His tie on the right side overlaps his face, while his face is overlapping the left side of the tie. His chin is also going over the tie just a small amount. You also might not notice at first but his back isn' just one curve, there is a really small curve right where his shoulders are located. His nose would seem to be just an oval, but there are two smoothed angles at the top and bottom.

Boo Boo 3
This is my favorite Boo Boo, aside from the fact that he is the cutest of all the Boo Boos he also has the most interesting details. His mouth I think is the most interesting aspect, his nose is slightly crooked so you can tell that it is jutting out from his face and is also on his muzzle. His mouth isn't flat either, the left side slightly overlaps the right and the right side is a bit higher like the right side if his nose. He also has that cute animal face where his mouth is ever so slightly open. His muzzle is designed so that the eyes rest directly on it and the corners replicate the shape of his cheeks.
His hair is a lot like how you would draw leaves on a tree, first you draw a circle and then draw the hair making sure that the points touch the circle. his feet aren't just resting on the same line, the right foot is out more just like how someone actually stands with more weight usually being on one side or another. His bow is asymmetrical with a bit of the underside being shown on the right.
Hi Becky!
ReplyDeleteI think in the first BooBoo you made a Twin in his head, in the original drawing the right cheek is more up, you could trace a diagonal from cheek to cheek to see that is more asymetrical than your copy.
Is good to make a verbal analysis first and then star drawing. I always forgot that, John is always saying that to me.
In the second BooBoo, the cranium has to be more little, I think you're missing the contrasts.
I hope I could help
