I guess I'll start by saying hello! I know I'm familiar with a couple of you (Kelly, Becky) but I don't know who else is around. I look forward to being your classmates, so to speak!
Becky I don't know you, but I really love your art. I work for Tawnya at KD, they're really great people.
I don't think I know anyone else here except for Rex kinda
I can probably go on forever about art stuff. Um, as far as concepts that are being covered. I know that for the inverted line thing, it's supposed to be straight against curve right?
Also, I totally get the detail in just some parts thing.
Ok, what if you're animating something how do you constantly make sure there aren't 2 inverted curves going against eachother, or does that only apply to character design and illustrations?
the curves on either side of an object need to make sense.
Like if someone is leaning back - the front part of the torso would be curved outward (convex)
the back of the curve would be overall concave - unless he has back fat which would bulge out.
when someone stretches a rubber hose arm out (like a Daffy Duck character) straight - then either side of the arm would be inverted slightly - thinner in the middle, thicker at the shoulder and wrist. That makes it look like stretched rubber.
Hi, I'm Chris. I probably should've said hi earlier. Sorry. I've never met any of you before but have seen most of your posts. I'm looking forward to seeing and sharing drawings with you all.
