Hello from Chloe + Annoying Boxing Disney Rabbit

I'm just getting back into this, bear with me. Thought best to say hello (Hello!) and get in the flow of posting, next time I'll try something more ambitious with a background.

See I THOUGHT this drawing was OK, then it turns out I did the head too small, among other things. I think I percieved the rabbit as thin in the middle and small-headed, so I subtly and incorrectly exaggerated those things without realising.

In this one, I perceived him as standing more upright than he really was, so that's wrong. In fact he's more squashed and bent than I thought. Having said that, I exaggerated the inward curve of his lower back to almost compensate. Bad!

more soon.

  2. Hi John

Have posted original grabs. Apologies for absence of tortoise in my drawings.

  3. I didn't so much exaggerate the curve of the back as just elongate the whole thing, I stretched him out.

  4. Well your cartoon studies have improved vastly, Chloe. They are getting much more solid.

There are a couple things I was going to critique about small wobbly parts, but I see they are in the original drawings anyway and you just exaggerated them a bit.
I'll show you a little later.

Keep doing these then I'll have a particular exercise for you.

To take my storyboard style scribbly roughs and redraw them with form.

  5. Yeah I could see there were bits that were borderline wobbly, but wasn't sure how to go about correcting them. I'm glad I am actually improving. Thanks John
