Yeah I think I/ we need to not be scared of just posting straight studies, even if it's just one or two drawings and nothing groundbreaking.
I've been worried that maybe I'm 'behind' and I should be onto more 'advanced' stuff by now but that's not really the point, the point is study study study. And lord knows there's plenty of good stuff to try to learn backwards and forwards.
And it does feel competitive here but in a good way, mustn't get intimidated into inaction. (Talking to myself here mainly.)
Personally, for me I was getting overwhelmed with the various areas to study. I felt like I was giving too much time to one area and neglecting another. Like say layout, then not doing enough construction. So I took a break, then got into a slump.
I know that you can't just favor one area because we're all at different levels in different areas. So to keep a balance, the "curriculum" needs to be varied. I guess I should maybe follow a personal curriculum. Maybe use the FACC and Preston Blair as a guide?
Also, John, would doing more Spumco studies be advantageous, being as we're gonna need to capture your style eventually, as you said?
Oh, also seeing all those great expressions on the Jetsons post on the Stuff blog, I was wondering if I could come up with anything as amazing as those on my own?
