I clearly overcompensated on the bugs overlay. I was trying to play up contrasts and exaggerate the poses.

Also, I'm gonna start drawing the characters into all the BGs I practice now.

    85% there

    the large forms need to be more solid

    the lines should not be wiggly, even when imitating wiggly mistakes in the inking on the original

    like on the hat


    we should be able to feel the shape of the man's skull under his hair

    you wanna copy the forms more than the finish
