Here's my copy of the coo coo bird model sheet. At first I thought the design was ugly because it's hair made it look like a creepy mental patient, but then it really grew on me as I drew it, and now I think it's cute.
Here is also some Screwy squirrels that I copied. I redid a bunch of them because they have really subtle expressions that are tough to get just right. Also, screwy squirrel has really cool shoulders to draw.
also Blair dog head that I did this morning. I think I learned more about keeping details wrapped around the form more than about jaw structure.

The next step - and what is separating most people here from the folks on my regular blog, is to do your own poses of a character you are comfortable with fro having copied the original poses straight.
