Aiming For Layout Artists

Hi Folks

one of my goals with this blog is to train a crew who can actually help me make cartoons. I'm aiming mainly to get you to be able to do layouts, which means:

Posing the characters based on my storyboards- but drawing them with construction

Composing the poses within the Backgrounds so BG and characters work well together

BTW, there are some nice Porky poses on my regular blog today. Very solid and cute

the perspective of his eyes wrapping around his big round head is exaggerated and it looks great. Like a caricature of construction.

I'll post a rough storyboard later for you to practice doing layouts from.

  3. Hiya, John! Hope everything's going well for you. I'm playing catch-up right now with the exercises (I need to do more of my own Mickeys and then dig into those Post trees), but I'm always hungry for more.
